Juniors are the future of our sport and we aim to support and look after them as best we can.

U17

For under 17 riders mandatory safety equipment must be worn during all competition stages and is recommended for all riders, these include;

  • Knee pads

  • Elbows need to be covered, either elbow pads or long sleeves.

  • Full finger gloves

  • Fully enclosed foot wear

  • Protective eyewear

  • A neck brace is recommended but not compulsory. Neck brace should only be used with a full faced helmet.

These lads and ladies will ride at their own pace, with their mates, not part of the junior group.

More rules can be found HERE

U15

Mandatory safety equipment is the same as Under 17.

These guys and girls will ride as one group under the leadership of the great Jesse Warburg. They will regroup at the start  and finish of every stage. Role call will be done at regular intervals and a spare stash of food and drinks will be available.

If your little shredder is under the age of 13 then we have the StLukes Challenge events for them, we like to see the young ones having a go at the Sprocket Rockets race and if we can see potential we can chat. Head to our CHALLENGE EVENTS tab for more details.

Age categories for the series are based on your age at 31/12/2023. This is to prevent age category changes during the series and bring inline with Aus Cycling guidelines.

There is generally various points around each course that will enable you can catch up with your offspring if desired. These points will be highlighted when the course map is released a week before each event.

U13 and u10

We now have a category for riders aged between 8-12. Head to our CHALLENGE EVENTS tab for more details.
