StLukes Health CHALLENGE EVENTS

These events are a relaxed and fun introduction to the sport of Gravity Enduro! So, what does a “Challenge” Gravity Enduro involve? There is a mix of climbing un-timed transfer stages with 3-4 timed descents at each round. The aim is to have fun as you try and get through each timed stage as quickly as you can. Timed stage trails will be rated green (beginner) or blue (intermediate) which should suit the majority of challenge event riders. Most participants should be able to complete the course within 2 hours. There will be a 30-second time gap between riders on timed stages, but feel free to regroup at the end and cruise to the next stage with your mates.

new Senior sprockets - juniors 13-18 (u18) boys and girls

NEW to the Tas Gravity weekend, we have been working with Aus Cucling to allow junior shredders U10 to have a trundle as part of the StLukes Challenge Events. Your young one will need to be at least 8 on 31/12/24 to have a crack at this one.

“Sprocket Rockets” and “Junior Sprockets” are designed to support the little rider in the clan. Sprocket Rockets ride individually with their parent/guardian around the course so that they have all the support they need to complete the course in a comfortable and safe environment. Parent/guardian ride-in support only.

Senior Sprockets do not need a support rider to ride with them.

PARENT/GUARDIANS RIDING WITH "SPROCKET ROCKETS" DO NOT NEED TO ENTER, YOU JUST NEED TO ENSURE YOU HAVE A MINIMUM OF AN Aus Cycling Lifestyle LICENCE AND BRING EVIDENCE ON THE DAY

More info can be found below.

Parents/guardians do not require a full-face helmet. A standard open-face helmet is sufficient.

MEMBERSHIP

An Aus Cycling RACE OFF ROAD or RACE ALL DISCIPLINES membership is required for all competitors and a LIFESTYLE membership is required for all accompanying riders for the Sprocket Rockets.

Aus Cycling Membership info can be found HERE

Aus Cycling does offer new participants a 4-week free trial, More info HERE

Requirements

A full-face helmet is mandatory for all participants. A helmet must be worn at all times during the event, including the transfer stages. Knee pads, glasses/goggles, full-finger gloves, and elbow-length sleeves are recommended.

Juniors (U17) MUST have elbows covered, either long sleeves or elbow pads. Knee protection, full finger gloves, Fully enclosed footwear, and Protective eyewear as per AusCycling regulations. If these requirements are not met, you will not be able to participate.

A mountain bike in good working order with working front and back brakes, bar ends, and front suspension. A dropper seat post and rear suspension will make for a more comfortable ride on timed stages, but not a requirement.

Carrying spares such as tubes, bike pump, food and water is also a really good idea.
